Our Finds for today

From: deiselluver (deiselluver@yahoo.com) | Date: 2004-10-25 03:19:09 UTC

Hi everyone. Well Jeff and I went out on our first LB excursion.
WE set out with 6 Letterboxes to do. Due to some unusual
curcumstances when heading to SF to do 4 of them we ended up only
doing Columba. Wow what a great Hybrid this one was. Our thanks to
bthomas. So we then decided to skip the rest of the SF ones and head
out to Alien is Lost. I have been wanting to do this one since we
found out about LBing. WE were able to find box 2 & 3 but #1 seems to
be MIA! :( After this long journey we decided to try for Oompa
Loompa but by the time we hit Peteluma it was getting dark. So next
time.Maybe when we head out to Healdsburg Quartet. Sounds like fun.
Our thanks to Alien Explorers for a great afternoon.

We were just out to box #1 of the Alien series. It was hard to find, but its there. We hid it just as we found it. Almost have to 1)grit teeth 2) hold breath 3)reach in blindly 4)hope for the best!
Might be heading up to Healdsburg soon ourselves from Petaluma.

Oy, I'm so bummed that Alien #1 is turning out to be so hard to find! We had
no idea it would be! I personally like only a tiny bit of challenge,
emphasis on TINY BIT, and wouldn't want anyone to walk away having not found
a box! When we planted it and then again when we checked up on it a month or
so ago, we thought it could be seen from the path (if you look carefully) -
apparently not so?

So help -- if anyone has an idea of what better directions we can give,
please let me know I'll change the clues right away.

Wascally Wabbit, I laughed at your description of what it took to find it -
but I'm not confident that it will help others.... Sounds practically like
blind faith....

It was there, just really far under, and covered well. We definately couldnt see it from the path, and cuz we couldnt, we made sure to hide it just as well.. Mustve been the finder before us hid it so well, so we did the same. I guess its better not found than missing/taken????
